Greetings from Door County,
Time is quickly making its way to Memorial Day and we’re ready!!
Cherry Blossoms are in bloom now and Apple blossoms should be in bloom for the Memorial weekend.
Morel Mushrooms are around, but supply is limited.
Asparagus is coming up nicely and we have a good supply!
Rhubarb is slowing making its way into the spring scene but we do have some.
And we again have our New Zealand Honeycrisp apples. Remember, New Zealand is just opposite us in seasons, so their fall is our spring! Come on in and sample them. We think they are pretty tasty! Maybe not quite as good as our Door County grown but still good for this time of the year!
This year we are excited about having Cherry and Apple cider brats for you! Jackie and Keith Birnschein from Door County Custom Meats raise beef and pork and are making the brats for us. We think they taste awesome! This Memorial weekend, weather permitting, Jackie and Keith will be grilling at the market and you will have the opportunity to both sample and purchase the brats on a bun for a quick weekend treat! Of course we will have them in our frozen section for you to take home or bring back to your grill for your stay in Door County.
So many reasons to take a ride to Door County and visit the Wood Orchard Market!!
Don’t forget to follow us on facebook at www.facebook.com/woodorchardmarket for up to date goings on at the market.
Until next time,
Take care and travel safely,
