Jim Wood, his son Steve, and grandson Jeff work together in all aspects of the orchard to grow over 200 acres of strawberries, raspberries, sweet cherries and apples on the Door Peninsula in northeast Wisconsin.
McIntosh and Cortland apples have historically been the main apple varieties of The Wood Orchard. Now, however, Honeycrisp is the apple variety that is attracting most of the attention of this fruit growing family as well as consumers! We presently have over 15,000 Honeycrisp trees in the ground and are planting 2000 additional trees each year. In a short time we should be growing enough Honeycrisp apples to keep everyone happy! We sell the fruit we grow, at our market just north of the village of Egg Harbor on State Hwy. 42. In 2006 our we expanded our market to bring you fresh baked goods to go along with all the tasty fruit and fruit products we sell throughout the summer and fall months. Our web site features much of what we grow and sell as well as what is actively growing in our orchards and Door County.
